Androgenetic alopecia is the most common form of hair loss, occurring in both men and women. It is progressive in nature and manifests itself in gradual hair thinning and miniaturisation of hair follicles. In men, it typically affects the temporal-frontal area and the top of the head, while in women it most often affects the crown of the head. The underlying causes of the condition are multifactorial and include genetic factors and the influence of androgens [1].
Hormonal changes, genetic factors, stress, and micronutrient deficiencies [2].
